## Here are a few proposed solutions to overcome these pain points -

1. To have an option to “MakePlan” inside the group -when a user clicks on that option, he will have the option to select a poll , where he can put poll questions and answer options. He can either enable or disable the poll. He will also have the option to add date and time. He will have an attachment option to add location. There will be a notification when there will be an update on the plan.

2. User can send the info over text but he will have option to pin the conversation, that information will be pinned to the group

3. Users can create an alert message option in the group. On clicking that all other members will get to know it's something important discussion going out.

4. Users can have an option as “PlanOut” - on clicking that, user can add place and add date and share in the group

## **Based on the above solutions, I will prioritize one solution-**

**I will go with the first solution. -”MakePlan” options solve almost the majority of pain points for users. It will help users to segregate their plans and make things a lot more organized. Even other users in the group can also check.**

It  should be clearly mentioned in the application about the places which are little unsafe or restricted or where there is any construction going on, so that people who are new to that place are aware of it. Also, sometimes few roads are under construction or its very congested, it should be updated in the maps so that users don't take that particular direction.

3. There are different options inside the application like restaurants, hospitals, petrol, hotels. Users can click any one , and they will get a variety of options under a particular heading. Similarly there should be a button for the police/ helpline. On clicking that, users will get different nearby  police stations options and other helpline centers.

## **Based on the context, let's  summarize the pain points faced by Users**

1. Users find it inconvenient to go through the entire process of ordering food from Swiggy on a daily basis.

2. At times they forget to order food when they are in meetings or back to back calls.

3. Some of their offices don't provide good healthy /tempting food.

4. Sometimes it becomes difficult for them to decide which restaurant and the food to order, and they already have a lot to do on a daily basis.

## Here are a few proposed solutions to overcome these pain points -

1. When a user selects food and adds to cart, in the final page before proceeding to make payment, there should be an option for -<do you want to repeat orders> if a user selects yes, then there will be dates he can select and slot/ time On selecting that, the next day for the order he will get a notification and it will be delivered to him right away for those days. He has to make the entire payments  including for the few days he selected, at the beginning itself.

2. When a user opens the app , he will have an option as prepare his lunch box meal for a week , user can select different food items from different restaurant for each meal , but each meal has to be specified to one restaurant. he can save it later, all he has to do is to come back to the application and select which meal of the other box meals  he wants to chose today.

3. Users can have an option to add favorite restaurants, so that they can come and select restaurants from favorites. This will ease their process of selecting restaurant

## Based on the above solution, I will prioritize one solution

I will go with implementing the second solution where te will have an option as prepare his lunch box meal for a week , user can select different food items from different restaurant for each meal , but each meal has to be specified to one restaurant. he can save it later, all he has to do is to come back to the application and select which meal of the other box meals  he wants to chose today.

This will ease the process of ordering the food following the entire process and the food will be delivered to them at the right time.

**As per the present scenario of Covid, People are preferring to buy groceries and vegetables online which will be delivered to their home rather than going out. So we want to make this application a little convenient for older people as well.**

Lets segment customer based on age-

* 0-16yrs- mostly school students, staying with their parents and depending on them

* 17-24 yrs- Mostly college students staying either by themselves or in Hostel or with family

* 25-50- Mostly working professionals

  > 50 -senior citizen , at the early stage of retirement and retired

Since 60 yrs is the ideal age of retirement in India and considering life expectancy of people to be mostly 80, we can assume our segment to fall above 50 yrs age group.

Of which most would be staying with their family and most of them would be staying independently by themselves away from their kids.

Here, we are focussing on people who fall above the 50 yrs age group and staying independently  by themselves.

Let's focus on the Pain Points of our target customer -**

* The quality of vegetables/fruits are not guaranteed online. The way they can see and confirm that these are good quality or not at stores.

* Swiggy shops are hidden. We have no guarantee on the freshness or packaging.They get their groceries from reliable stores and who have a physical aspect or appearance.

* They might feel it's more costly to order, since there will be different delivery charges. And also at some vegetable vendors, they can bargain , they cannot  bargain or nobody to ask if this is a good quality or not

* They are often not familiar with the vegetable's English name, at times they are more familiar with the name of a few vegetables in their native language name.

* Some people don't use this feature because t It doesn't take cash on delivery always, and some people are not accustomed with phone wallet or card payment. Although there is a cash on delivery option, it doesn't work most of the time.

**Looking at the above pain points  of the users, here are a few proposed solutions.**

1. Since People are not able to rely on the quality of vegetables delivered, we can have a feature which can tell the number of  customers who  have already purchased for each vegetable/fruit /grocery. That will create a trust in the minds of customers to purchase  more.

2. We can have a feature in the swiggy app to choose/search for language , which will be just below the search for items box.In that case if a user choses a language, then inside the instamart the vegetables /groceries will be shown with both the names in english and with the native language.

3. Cash on delivery should be a prime focus, we can have cash on delivery options so that it will be convenient for older people to order more.

**Based on the above solution, I will go with one prioritize solution -**

I will go with implementing the second and third point, since that will make it convenient for the customers to prefer this feature, since they can understand the vegetable name. Also cash on delivery  makes the payment process easier for the customer.

# **Replicate/Design a french press so that it can be**

A French press is a coffee brewing device. It uses a brewing method called immersion. This type of brewing is a method in which the coffee grounds are immersed in water and left to brew. 

**Let's Look at our target customer-**

There can be a lot of people who drink coffee on a regular basis or the one who drinks occasionally.

1. Active coffee drinkers- they prefer to have  freshly brewed coffee mostly 5 to 6 times a day. 

2. People who travel a lot by profession and prefer having fresh brewed coffee

3. The people who drink coffee on rare occasions. They don't have any specific preference.

Here we will focus on users who are active coffee users and prefer fresh brewed coffee which can be prepared easily without consuming much time. 

We can also consider people  who are active coffee users but have traveled a lot for professional/personal  reasons for which they can't always make coffee at home.

**Pain Points for users-** 

1. It is difficult to carry a french press everywhere while traveling by air/car.

2. It is fragile and at risk of breaking.

3. It's difficult to always wash the device after making the coffee.

4. There is also a difficulty to remove the coffee grinds from the device after the coffee is made.

5. A french press/ is not portable.

**Some proposed solutions we can think of for the above pain points-** 

1. We can design a small kind of coffee bag (similar to tea bags), the difference being the hot water has to be poured over,so that it passes through the coffee powder. 

2. A thermos flask of medium size which has a pressing device very similar to french press. The user can pour grind coffee and hot water and press it, they can have the coffee with the cap of flask which will be very similar to the size of a cup.

**Prioritized solution-** 

Both the solutions can solve the issue but I will prefer the first solution.

Since the first solution solves most of the pain points of users, although the method cannot be considered as french press, its rather a drip/pour over. 

**Metrics to measure success-** 

* Number of people using coffee bags

* Number of coffee bags sold in given period of time 

* Increase in consumption of coffee /Increase in Number of users
